In 2007, the RYA introduced the Personal Watercraft (PWC) Safety Course for delivery onboard superyachts, allowing guests to be certified to use yacht jet skis. Today, over 400 yachts are enrolled in the scheme.
To deliver this training, a Captain, Chief Officer, or Deck Crew member must qualify as an RYA Jet Ski (PWC) Instructor, and the yacht must be approved as an RYA Training Centre following an official inspection.

Superyacht Consultancy Services
With the increase in jet ski regulations worldwide and more specifically in the Mediterranean, the ability to train and certify Crew, Owners and Guests onboard has aided the safe running of jet ski operations onboard and reduced conflict with maritime authorities.
When successfully setup Superyachts are able to run the RYA Introduction to PWC Safety Course which takes approximately 1 hour and certifies guests for the duration of their charter.
The certificates are widely recognised and have a range of languages on the back for quick interpretation by the authorities.
To become a RYA Training Centre a vessel specific RYA PWC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety manual will need to be produced. Whilst putting this document together can be done by senior crew, many yachts will choose to outsource this process to ourselves to save time and make sure they have a compatible document ready for they RYA Inspection.
We have staff which are very familiar with this process, consulting with the yacht and efficiently running through the below process.
