The RYA First Aid at Sea course is a one-day training programme covering essential first aid skills from a boating and maritime perspective. It is designed for anyone who goes afloat on inland waters, rivers, estuaries, or at sea, including cross-channel passages. This MCA-approved course meets the first aid requirements for RYA Instructor qualifications, Coastal Skipper, Yachtmaster, Advanced Powerboat certificates of competence, and selected commercial marine roles.

Course Overview
The RYA First Aid at Sea
The RYA first aid course is a 1 day course which covers recovery position in a confined space, CPR (including drowning protocol), cold shock and hypothermia from immersion and/or exposure, sea sickness and dehydration, medical assistance or advice by VHF, helicopter rescue.

Location : Based in Port of Poole Marina, in the heart of Poole Harbour, we can boast one of the best Powerboat training locations on the South coast of the UK. Onsite facilities include our Training Room, parking and changing facilities with showers.
Poole Harbour and the surrounding coastline provide the ideal training area with sheltered waters for initial learning, an array of buoyage and sandy beaches to practice anchoring and make for an all round great day out on the water.
