RYA Powerboat Level 1:
This one day course is an introduction to boating techniques for launching and recovering a boat from a road trailer, everyday boat handling and the use of safety equipment. Most adults will usually jump straight onto a Powerboat Level 2 Course but this can be a great option if you want to train with a younger child on the water.

Course overview:
This is a basic introduction to powerboating and will cover the following topics : Launch and recovery, preparation of boat and crew, boat handling, picking up and securing to a mooring buoy, leaving and coming alongside, being towed. It is not a pre-requisite for the Powerboat Level 2 which most adults tend to go straight for.
